I developed and helped produce this three-part Channel 5 popular factual series about the East End of London, hosted by genuine East Ender Jay Blades.
There was some good stuff in it. Digging up one of Shakespeare’s first theatres under an office block in Shoreditch, finding out about legendary escape artist Jack Sheppard, bigging up the Match Girls, meeting some proper Cockerneys. I love the old East End, I reckon it’s got the most interesting history of our whole country, so this was really fun to work on.
